Progress Reports and Standardized Testing

St. Euphrasia School issues progress reports midway through each trimester (at the 6 week marking period).  Progress reports are mailed to the parents of students who are not meeting minimum academic/behavioral standards.  This is considered a formal notification, giving the student the opportunity to improve, with both parent and teacher support and cooperation.

Ordinarily, parents may receive their child’s report card independent of tuition payment.  However, a student’s official transcript may be withheld from a student who is transferring within the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese but may not be withheld from a requesting public or private school.  Also, a report card, diploma, or transcript may be withheld pending payment of certain damages such as property or personal belongings to the school.

Standardized Testing
Standardized grade level testing is administered to all students in Grades 2-8, per Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Department of Catholic Schools policy.

The test used is the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and it is administered to students in the fall of each year.

The Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE) is administered to students in grades 5 and 8 each year.  The assessment is designed to assess the religious knowledge and outcomes of Catholic schools and parish religion programs.
